A good quality antique Regency mahogany chest of drawers, with beautifully figured flamed mahogany drawer fronts and attractive figured timber throughout.
The chest has four graduated drawers, each fitted with ebony knobs, beneath a particularly attractive figured and cross-banded top. The sides are panelled and the back is also panelled, highlighting the quality of construction and attention to detail.
The chest is raised on shaped bracket feet and is a well-constructed example of Regency furniture. The combination of the richly figured flamed mahogany, cross-banded top and ebony handles gives the piece a particularly warm and elegant appearance.
With its useful proportions and restrained Regency design, this would make an excellent addition to a traditional bedroom or interior.
