The bookcase is fitted with three adjustable shelves, allowing the height of each shelf to be altered to accommodate books, decorative objects and other items. It has a simple, understated design and stands on a substantial plinth base.
The piece is in excellent original condition and has been traditionally and sympathetically restored with care taken to preserve its original colour and natural patina. The result is a bookcase that retains the character and warmth of the original Victorian mahogany.
